For Transfers Next Day DTF transfers applied to cotton and polycotton garments, use 157°C.
This includes many common:
- T-shirts
- Hoodies
- Sweatshirts
- Workwear garments
- Tote bags
Always check the actual fabric composition and garment care information rather than assuming every T-shirt or hoodie is made from the same material.
Polyester and synthetic fabrics: 130°C
For polyester and synthetic fabrics, use the lower temperature of 130°C.
Synthetic garments can be more sensitive to heat, which is why the recommended temperature differs from cotton and polycotton.
If you're decorating an unfamiliar synthetic garment, carrying out a test first is particularly important.
How Long Should You Press a DTF Transfer?
Press Transfers Next Day DTF transfers for 10–15 seconds.
Pressing time works together with temperature and pressure.
If the pressing cycle is too short, the adhesive may not bond correctly with the garment.
But simply pressing for much longer isn't necessarily better either.
Start with the recommended 10–15 second range and make controlled adjustments if your particular heat press or garment requires them.

Pressure is sometimes overlooked because heat presses display temperature and time digitally, while pressure can feel less precise.
However, pressure is essential.

You don't need to wait for the transfer to cool.

Stop peeling if you see the artwork lifting with the carrier.
Don't continue pulling the complete design away from the garment.
Instead, check:

- Whether pressure was even
